L&I's rule on occupational exposure to hazardous drugs was adopted on January 3, 2012 and will be officially published in the Washington State Register in two parts on January 18 and February 1. The rule is being phased in over a period of time so that L&I can work with employers and employees to prepare for implementing its requirements. During this period L&I will establish a hazardous drugs advisory committee, work with stakeholders to develop model hazardous drugs control programs, and establish a webpage where relevant informational materials are posted. The agency is committed to provide regular communication to stakeholders. This ListServ is one avenue for this communication.
