EOPS goals:

We provide timely and spatially nested information on visible surface features in Puget Sound to improve temporal and spatial context. We deliver information on surface conditions in Puget Sound within 2 days of aerial observation.
EOPS material supports awareness, education, and inspires others.

A cost effective environmental news product:

We use routine empty transit flights between Kenmore Airbase and Olympia to document current marine surface conditions by camera. We supplement the information with satellite images, en route ferry, weather and mooring data.

Aerial photography:

If you would like to see all pictures from the flights, go to ftp://www.ecy.wa.gov/eap/Flight_Blog/latest_pictures/

We hope the images are inspiring and informative.

With best regards,

Christopher and the Marine Monitoring Unit
