Below is a message regarding the Governor’s Executive Order 10-06 to suspend all state agency rulemaking.

As directed under the Governor’s Executive Order 10-06, the Department of Health has reviewed all rule development projects currently underway and has determined if any are exempt from the suspension.  You may find the link to the lists of rulemaking which will be suspended and which will continue at http://www.doh.wa.gov/Rules/default.htm .  Exemptions for rules under the authority of the State Board of Health will be posted after the board’s January 2011 meeting.

The Certificate of Need – Hospice rules do not meet one of the Governor’s exemption criteria.

As a result, all rulemaking activities related to the hospice rules will cease until December 31, 2011.
