The May 3rd deadline for comments on the completed draft of the Alternative Assessment Guidance Document has passed.

Comment Period Extended until May 3, 2013

Several organizations have requested an extension of the 45-day comment period on the Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse alternatives assessment and risk reduction guidance. The comment period is now extended to 60 days and comments may be submitted until the close of business on Friday, May 3, 2013.

The Interstate Chemicals Clearinghouse and participating member states have released a draft copy of the Guidance for Alternatives Assessment and Risk Reduction. The document is available for download at: http://www.newmoa.org/prevention/ic2/aaguidance.cfm. The document can be downloaded either as a complete document or separately as the guidance and supporting documents.

The public and interested stakeholders are invited to review the draft guidance and provide input. The public comment period will end on April 19, 2013. Early Look -- Early Input on the Draft Decision Module.

1. This is the last of the modules to be posted for the Alternative Assessment Guidance Document. All individual modules have been released for public review and comment.

2. The Guidance Team hopes to release the fully compiled draft guidance within the next couple of weeks. Several of the modules have received substantial comments, many of which have been implemented; therefore the modules posted on the website may look very different when the compiled draft document is released.
